We examine the advantages of writing and sending handwritten cards. We also discuss why purchasing cards is gaining popularity.

There are numerous options to communicate instantaneously that sending a greeting card through snail mail can be lost in the shuffle. The process of writing a card is more time-consuming write and requires more effort and consideration from the person writing it and this makes it more meaningful and personal than an email or text message.

Sales of credit cards are on the rise

In the lockdown period, the sales of stationery were reported to have increased by 300% on Papier. In addition, with a significant increase in purchases of cards and other cards, it appears that a lot of people went back to the more traditional ways to keep in touch with their loved ones and friends who could not see.

It is easy to see why receiving cards is an unforgettable experience. It is a pleasant surprise to hear a letter landing on your doorstep. The shock of finding an attractive envelope containing a colour in Pizza delivery orders as well as bills immediately makes you smile. It’s likely to come out as the initial thing that you look at.

Cards are Sensory

The process of receiving the card is a balancing act for all your senses. You examine your address, and then try to determine who sent it based on the handwriting. You can hear the tears as you tear off the paper. You smile as you view the image on the front and rub your hands across it. The card is turned with your hands and look inside and read out the information.

Cards Make Time

In the age of digital communication, the idea that someone took the time to go to the shop, pick the card they think you’ll love, write your message, purchase an envelope and mail it to you makes you feel special. They’ve put their time, money and energy into your. The effort they put into it will show how much they appreciate it.

Cards Honor Life Events

Cards are used to commemorate the most important occasions in our lives. It could be an anniversary, wedding, birthday anniversary, bereavement, or a declaration of love. A card can provide you with something tangible to keep and refer to when you’re in need of those sweet words and that memorable time or moment.

Cards are a great way to remember

As we’ve said cards are typically saved and later viewed. Text messages or emails isn’t as effective or has the same effect. It is rare to go back and read emails from years ago. They are easily forgotten, without physical reminders of the message. A card is a treasure for many years to be revisited over and over again.

Cards help you get your message across

It’s possible to convey things that are difficult to express in person using the form of a card. It can be an expression of apology, or a note of condolence, but you must be mindful of the words you use. Personalised cards give the opportunity to think about what you’ll say and also a means to express your emotions. Sometimes, text messages and emails are impulsive and sent in a rush. Writing a notecard gives the recipient time to consider your response, and then write it in a thoughtful way.

Cards can make you happy

There are even benefits for the emotional side for the person who sends the card. Studies have discovered that writing a thoughtful note to someone could make both of you feel significantly more content.
