Despite not being included in the original April 2024 lineup of games 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives on Xbox Game Pass later this week

In a surprise announcement, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is arriving on Xbox Game Pass this week, allowing subscribers to play one of 2023’s best games.
We’ve known the full batch of Xbox Game Pass April 2024 games for a while now, thanks to two separate announcements Microsoft has already made this month (one for the first half of the month, another for the second). But right at the last minute, EA has swooped in with a surprise Xbox Game Pass addition, with an Xbox Wire post confirming that 2023’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is joining the EA Play library this month. And, since everything on EA Play is included in your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, subscribers on Xbox Series X|S and PC are in luck, and will be able to play the Star Wars title via Xbox Game Pass from Thursday, April 26 (sorry Xbox One owners, Jedi: Survivor is current gen only).
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was perhaps the ultimate bridesmaid of 2023. It was critically acclaimed and beloved by many (we gave it a 5/5 and a respectable sixth place spot in our top ten games of 2023 ) but was never the bride, getting lost in the shuffle amongst behemoths like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur’s Gate 3. However, Cal Kestis’ sophomore adventure did what any good sequel should and improved on what made Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order so memorable in the first place, cementing itself among the best Star Wars games ever made (nothing can beat Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga though). Plus, the litany of performance issues that plagued the game (especially on PC) at launch have mostly been sorted, meaning waiting paid off.
