Liverpool fans have taken hope surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at the club following his latest Instagram post.
The Reds travel to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon to take on Man City, knowing a win will lift them above the reigning champions and into first place in the Premier League. But they may have to do so without a key player who missed training on Friday, just days before the crucial fixture.

Fans have Salah hope
Liverpool fans were optimistic Mohamed Salah was going to be staying at the club.
The forward has been in negotiations with the Reds over a new deal, with seemingly no nearer to signing a new deal. But after a recent post on social media, supporters believe Salah may have dropped a hint about penning a new deal at Anfield and committing to the club long-term after a message was spotted in the background of him posing with his PFA Fans’ Player of the Month trophy.
“Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool,” the sign read.

Firmino misses training
Liverpool face Man City on Sunday afternoon and could be without a key player.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is already missing the match due to injury and the Reds could be without striker Roberto Firmino who missed Friday’s training session. The Brazilian has struggled for fitness this season and came off the bench against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
Manager Jurgen Klopp said on Friday that he expected a full squad available to him to take on City.

The Reds head to the Eithad Stadium two points behind league leaders City but have the opportunity to move into first place with a win. Klopp arrived at Anfield with the club searching for a first league title since before the Premier League era and secured the trophy in 2020. Beating City to the title is something which pushes Klopp, the German has said.
“I always wanted to be the coach of the team who can beat the best team in the world,” Klopp said in his pre-match media duties on Friday.
