Amanda Byram reveals her ‘favourite thing’ about Dublin in 2019

Amanda Byram has proudly posed with her young baby son as they enjoyed a walk together on the beach.

The 48-year-old Irish television presenter became a first time mum last November when she and husband Julian Okines welcomed a baby boy that they named Phoenix.

Amanda has been proudly showing off her boy via social media – with frequent snaps showing him enjoying time with his father, family members, friends and out and about in the world.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Amanda showed Phoenix dressed in an adorable polar bear outfit and resting in a papoose, strapped to her chest, as they sought some sea air on the coast in East Sussex.

Amanda flashed a beaming smile in the snap while wearing a quilted jacket and sunglasses – with Phoenix, sporting a cap as well as his oensie, looking enchanted by the rolling waves lapping against the beach.

Amanda captioned the snap: “My little man and his love of the sea” – alongside a blue heart emoji and a tsunami wave emoji.

She also revealed that Phoenix’s outfit had been a gift from two friends – Irish model and TV host Yvonne Connolly, who is the ex-wife of Ronan Keating, and her cinematographer husband, John Conroy.

Amanda, who co-hosted Total Wipeout with Richard Hammond, explained last November that she was overjoyed to become a mother.

She wrote online at the time: “And then there was you.

“I’m so overjoyed, full of love and bursting with happiness to be able to share that [Julian] and I have welcomed our incredible son, Phoenix Blaze Byram Okines into the big wide, wonderful world.

“What a privilege that he entrusted us to nurture and guide his little soul through the endless possibilities of life and we are eternally grateful to him for choosing us to be his parents.”

She also opened up about her battle to get pregnant later in life.

She explained that her fertility journey “has been long” – involving “the heartbreak of hope that turned to hopelessness” and “elation that turned to devastation.”

She continued: “I know many brave parents-in-waiting who, like us, have struggled for a long time, so today we share this magical news in the hope it can inspire and offer a light at the end of the tunnel. You are powerful warriors.”

Gushing over her husband, she added: “My heart bursts with love for you [Julian]. You have been my solid rock over these years, encouraging me to hang in and keep going.

“After every tear, every tumble, every heartache, your positivity made everything seem possible again. It’s thanks to you, your energy, and your enthusiasm, that we are all here together today.

“We are so lucky to have you, and Phoenix is lucky to call you his Daddy, I know you are already his hero. We love you infinitely.”
