West Midlands Police have turned to members of the public for help after a young girl was hit by a van in a hit-and-run crash in Walsall. The force released an appeal on Friday October 18, more than a month after the collision.
The 13-year-old was injured in Foster Street at around 9:20pm on September 7. Despite “extensive enquiries”, the vehicle and its driver have not been found. Investigating officers have urged anyone who was in the area, or who may have dashcam footage, to get in touch to help with their enquiries.
The teen was taken to hospital but her injuries were not serious. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information after a girl was injured after being struck by a van which failed to stop in Walsall.

“The 13-year-old was crossing Foster Street near to the junction with Blakenall Lane, at around 9.20pm on September 7, when she was struck by a white van. She was taken to hospital but fortunately her injuries weren’t serious.
“We have made extensive enquiries but we haven’t identified the vehicle and its driver at this stage. We would like to speak to witnesses or anyone with information including dashcam footage which may help us with our investigation.
