Police say they confiscated a BB gun, a toy gun, a curved blade known as a Karambit and ‘drugs’ from a Birmingham school. Officers were alerted to a school in the Springfield area by concerned teachers on Monday (April 4).
The team seized the shocking array of weapons and drugs, which had been confiscated by teachers. The items are being investigated while pupils receive advice about the dangers of using drugs and weapons.
Springfield Police tweeted a picture of the items, which shocked followers on social media. The force also pleaded with parents to ask what their children are taking to school.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Police said: “These items, including a BB gun and a replica toy gun, were all confiscated by the school and they rightly contacted us about them on Monday (4 April).
“We are investigating each matter and are working with the school to offer support and advice to both staff and pupils around the dangers of carrying weapons and using drugs.”
Springfield Police tweeted: “Items seized from a school, concerned school teachers. Do you know what your children are carrying ? “Have the conversation, save a life.”
