The judge on the show has been no stranger to our screens this year. Sheridan appeared as a guest judge in the second series of the BBC drag competition series, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, in January last tear. She also presents BBC Pooch Perfect and recently starred as Jenna in The Teacher, a Channel 5 show.
The drama series is about a drinking, hard-smoking, hard-living teacher who is accused of sleeping with one of her students. Her credits this year have also included BBC Four Lives, where she played Sarah Sak, a mum of one of Stephen Port’s victims. She also played Kathy Powell in No Return on ITV1.
She is also a judge on Starstruck alongside the likes of Jason Manford. The northern comedian spoke out in defence of Gavin and Stacey star Sheridan, after fans voiced their displeasure at her frequent TV gigs.
