If you’re looking to get your hands on a PS5, then this Black Friday deal could be for you. The console is in high demand in the run up to Christmas but the price has now been slashed by £90 on Amazon.
Dubbed ‘the best console Sony has produced’ by one gamer, there is currently a 19 per cent discount on the usual price of £475.95. Those who are keen to save some cash can now bag one for £389.99.
More than 3,000 shoppers have purchased the PlayStation 5 Standard Console from the site in the last month and left glowing reviews. The product has a 4.8 star rating, with one branding it ‘the ultimate gaming experience’.

One reviewer said: “I’ll cut to the chase. This is without a doubt the best console Sony has produced. Not just because it’s the newest one but because it just runs so fast and smooth and quiet. Every problem I had with the PS4 Pro has been addressed. There is nothing to criticise in terms of hardware.”
A second purchaser said upgrading was the ‘best decision’ they’d made, adding: “Finally decided to upgrade my PS4 to the PS5, as PlayStation are making it hard with making some of the latest games being compatible with PS5 only! But! I must be honest, I wish I had done so sooner. Took a while to get used to the different set-up and layout, but it’s SO much faster and powerful. And the 4k quality is amazing! It’s a much more intelligent system too! It’s very big! But it’s not really an issue.”
Titling the review ‘the ultimate gaming experience on console’, another fan wrote: “Nothing I say can truly do this system the justice it deserves. If you are looking for a great system for the next 5-10 years to keep you busy, happy and playing great games, maybe even cross-play with friends then I’d say look no further!”
“The graphics are incredible the controller fits in your hands like a glove,” read another five-star review for the PS5. “Would 100 per cent recommend.”
Addressing the fact some find the size off putting, a gamer said: “Yeah it’s big, yeah it’s bulky but it’s an absolute powerhouse for gaming. Can it compete with a high spec PC? No but then it’s a cheaper than those.”
