Clive Myrie will invite another batch of famous faces to show off their general knowledge as the new series of Celebrity Mastermind continues on BBC One. The latest episode will air on Saturday (May 7) evening at 7.30pm.
James Acaster, Michelle Gayle, Jean Johansson and Charlotte Worthington will take to the iconic black chair to tackle questions on their chosen specialist subjects. The topics of the night include the history of ice cream, Kylie Minogue and Michael Jordan.
Fans may recognise popular comedian James Acaster, 37, from his appearances on the likes of Taskmaster, Mock the Week and Would I Lie to You. He also hosts the hit foodie podcast, Off Menu, with fellow comedian Ed Gamble.

One of his more memorable appearances, however, came in 2019 when he starred in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. He competed alongside Michelle Keegan, Russell Tovey and Rylan Clark.
Over the course of the episode, James struggled with the baking process, sparking countless memes with his remarks, which included: “I wish I were dead” while looking at his flapjack mixture and the infamous: “Started making it, had a breakdown, bon appétit” while presenting his biscuits to the judges.
After appearing on the Channel 4 show, James revealed that the now-iconic TV moment stemmed from being jet-lagged and tired. Speaking to Jonathan Ross, he explained: “For the worst day of my life, it was great. Absolutely hated it… I was jet-lagged, hadn’t slept, never baked before. Don’t know why I thought that would go well.”
In terms of his personal life, James previously dated Misfits and Doc Martin actress, Louise Ford. James and Louise had been together for two years and were living together when Louise hit it off with Rowan Atkinson while they were co-starring in Quartermaine’s Terms, a theatre show, in 2013.
Louise ended up leaving James while the Mr Bean and Johnny English star, 67, ended his 24-year marriage with make-up artist wife Sunetra Sastry. Rowan and Louise moved in together a year later and welcomed their daughter Isla in 2017.
The pair married in 2015 and welcomed a daughter together in 2018.
James has publicly made light of the situation. Speaking during one of his stand-up shows, he joked: “I’m a goddam saint to have kept this in the back pocket so long. It’s my job to say things that are funny and the funniest thing that’s ever happened to anyone, happened to me and I put it on the back-burner out of respect.
“Until you get left for Mr Bean, you don’t realise how frequently he pops up. There’s a shop two streets from my house that sells masks of his face. There’s nowhere where I’m going to go that he’s not there.”
It isn’t known if James is dating anyone currently, however he did date fellow comedian Rose Matafeo between 2014 and 2017. New Zealand actress and presenter Rose is known for starring in shows including Starstruck, Dead Pixels and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Celebrity Mastermind airs on Saturdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
