ITV Tipping Point fans have been left in disbelief after Ben Shephard levelled a major jibe at a contestant on Friday. Ben was hosting the Good Friday edition of the show when he made the swipe.
Ben, who was unimpressed by a contestant’s performance, brutally told him: “You should have listened to your wife.” Surge told Ben he was risking his £3k for a go at the £10k jackpot.
But when he had a go, he lost everything. “Drop zone two? Come on then Surge, fire up drop zone two – no, no, no, don’t ride. Be flat, be flat, be flat,” Ben said as the counters in the final round dropped.

“It’s flat and if that silver one hits the black counter…” before it sadly failed to. Ben said: “Oh it’s not going to do it for you. Ben said: “Surge, I am devastated for you.”
“It didn’t happen,” said Surge. “Oh well.” Ben said: “Oh no. You really should have listened to your wife.” Surge hilariously responded: “I better not go home now.”
ITV Tipping Point typically airs each and every weekday from 4pm on ITV but Good Friday marked a shake up to the schedule, with the quiz favourite instead airing in the Chase’s usual timeslot at 5pm. The Chase aired after the ITV News, and was broadcast at 6.30pm.
