A police dog called Bones helped chase down three burglary suspects after aluminium was stolen an industrial estate. Raiders were spotted breaking into into a business premises near Derby Road, Uttoxeter,.
Officers arrived at the scene at around 5.15pm on February 11. One man tried to run away but was chased down by Bones.
Two men, both from Walsall and aged 20 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of burglary alongside a 28-year-old man from Northwich in Cheshire. They were all later bailed as police continued their investigation.

Staffordshire Police said: “We have arrested three men with the help of a police dog following a burglary on an industrial estate in Uttoxeter. At around 5.15pm on Sunday, February 11, we received reports that three men had broken into a business premises near Derby Road and were loading a vehicle with aluminium from the property.
“We quickly went to the scene and started work to track down the suspects. One man tried to run away but wasn’t quick enough to get away from Police Dog Bones. A 28-year-old man, from Northwich, a 20-year-old man, from Walsall, and a 27-year-old man, from Walsall, were all arrested on suspicion of burglary.
“They have since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.” They added: “Anyone who saw what happened or those with information that can help with our investigation are urged to get in touch.
