Strictly Come Dancing bosses are reportedly looking to get Gino D’Acampo signed up for this year’s series. The Italian chef, who has been appearing on This Morning for 13 years, is a popular household name having also won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2009.
Gino previously revealed he was invited to do Strictly in 2019 but said he hadn’t got time to take part. Now he is being sought out by the show again, according to a TV insider speaking to The Sun.
The publication reported they said: “But they view Gino as someone who has universal appeal, who is up for a laugh and more than capable of keeping audiences entertained. He also has serious star appeal, having been on This Morning for 13 years and winning I’m A Celebrity.”

As well as winning I’m A Celeb and his appearances on This Morning, Gino hosted the latest series of Family Fortunes for ITV. He is also a familiar face to many for his Road Trip series on ITV with chef Gordon Ramsay and First Dates star Fred Sirieix.
The Sun says the BBC declined to comment on the rumours.
